Introduction to FCI Grade-III Exam
The Food Corporation of India (FCI), one of the largest Public Sector Undertakings, dealing with Food grain supply-chain management in India. It recruits young and skilled Category III personnel for manning posts in its depots and offices spread all over the country through SSC. Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Government of India, makes recruitment to these posts on behalf of the Food Corporation of India, the candidates selected through this recruitment for posts in FCI will NOT, however, have the status of Central Government Civilian Employees.
Thus they will not be eligible for benefit of age relaxation etc. admissible to Central Government civilian employees in recruitments made by the Staff Selection Commission for Ministries/ Departments/ Attached and Subordinate Offices under Government of India and will not be entitled to claim parity with Central Government Civilian Employees in any matter whatsoever.

Eligibilty Criteria : Educational Qualification
There are four category and there corresponding Qualification Requirement are

Eligibilty Criteria : Age Limit
Candidate whose age is more than 18years and less than 30 years are eligible for this examination. However certain classes of candidates are given relaxation in upper age limit.
- SC/ST candidates are given 5years of age relaxation in case of upper age limit.
- OBC candidates are given 3 years of relaxation in case of upper age limit.
Examination Pattern
Whole recruitment process concludes in three steps. Among them 1st stage is qualifying test for next stage however marks obtained in this stage is considered in final merit list. Students applying for any post have to go through this stage. In this stage they have to face Paper- . Students who qualify this paper will be considered for second two.
In Stage two there are two papers one for non technical post(paper-II) and other paper is for technical post( paper-III). Students applying for Post Code A, B, D have to face for Paper-II and those who are applying for Post Code C have to face Paper-III. Students who qualify in this round will only be considered for Final stage.
Final stage is computer proficiency test which is a qualifying test.

Duration :
- For General Candidates : 2 hours
- For Visual Handicapped : 2 hours & 40 minutes
Computer Proficiency Test
For General, Depot, Accounts and Technical Cadres a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT), which
will be of qualifying nature, with components of Word Processing and Excel will also be held
for candidates shortlisted on the basi s of Paper-I and Paper-II/ Paper-III. Qualifying marks in
word processing may be prescribed by the SSC at its discretion for evaluation of Excel Scripts, in
which a separate qualifying standard will be prescribed.
