Pallav Dynasty

  • The founder of Pallav Dynasty was Sinhavishnu.

Chalukya Dynasty (Kallyani)

Chalukya Dynasty (Vatapi)

  • Pulkeshin-2 defeated Harshavardhana-2 and adopted the title of Parameshwara.

Chalukya Dynasty (Vengi)

  • Vishnuvardhan founded this Dynasty.

  • The most important ruler of this Dynasty was Vijayaditya-2.
  • His commander in chief was Pandarang.

Cholas Dynasty

  • After Pallava, Chola came. The Chola kingdom was called as Cholamandalam.
  • It was founded by Vijayalaya. Its capital was Tanjay or Tanjavur.
  • Vijayalaya adopted the title of Narakeshri and he built the temple of Nishumbhashudini.
  • The actual founder of Chola Dynasty was Aditya-1.
  • After getting victory against Pallava he took the title of Kodandaram.
  • Rajraj-1 won Sri Lanka by defeated Mahim-5.
  • He named Sri Lanka as Mumdicholamandalam and named its capital as Polonnuruba.
  • He was the follower of Shiva. He built Rajrajeshwar Temple (offered to Shiva).
  • Chola Dynasty was mostly spread in the period of Rajendra-1. He defeated the Pal ruler Mahipal and adopted the title of Gangacodchola.

Pal Dynasty

  • It was founded by Gopal.
  • Its capital was Munger.
  • Gopal was the follower of Buddhism.
  • He established the Odontopuri Vishyavidyalaya (University).
  • The most important ruler of this Dynasty was Dharmapal.

Sen Dynasty

  • It was founded by Samanta Sen.
  • Its capital was Nadiya (Lakhnauti).
  • The important ruler of Sen Dynasty were Vijaya Sen, Vallal Sen, and Lakshman Sen.
  • Dansagar and Adbhutsagar was written by Vallal Sen. But Adbhutsagar was completed by Lakshman Sen.
  • Jaydev the writer of Geetgovind, Dhoyi the writer of Pavandoot and Halayudh the writer of Brhminsarvasya were the Court Poet of Lakshman Sen.
  • Halayudh was the Chief Justice and Chief Minister of Lakshman Sen’s Court.
  • Devpara Inscription was related to Vijaysen. It is a hindi Inscription.
  • First Hindi inscription was written in the period of Sen Dynasty.
  • Lakshman Sen was the last ruler of Sen Dynasty and last Hindu ruler in Bengal also.

Varman Dynasty

  • It was established by Pushya Varman, a contemporary of Samudragupta.
  • Its capital was Pragjyotishpura.

Gjurjar Pratihar Dynasty

  • Nagvatta-1 the ruler of Malwa founded the Gurjar Pratihara Dynasty.
  • The most powerful ruler of this Dynasty was Mihirvoja. His capital was Kannauj.
  • The last ruler of this Dynasty was Yashapal.
  • Delhi was established by Tomar ruler Anangapal in the middle of 11the century.

Gahadwal Dynasty

  • Jaichand, the last ruler of this Dynasty was defeated by Mohommad Ghori in 1194 in the war of Chandwar.

Chauhan Dynasty

  • Prithviraj-3 was the important ruler of this Dynasty.
  • Chandvardai was the court poet of Prithviraj-3.
  • He wrote Prithvirajraso, the biography of Prithviraj-3.
  • In the 1st war of Tarain in 1991 Md. Ghori was defeated by Prithviraj-3. But in the 2nd war of Tarain in 1192 Md. Ghori defeated Prithviraj-3.

Chandel Dynasty

  • It was founded by Nunuk in the land of Bundelkhanda. Its oldest name was Jejakbhakti.
  • Its capital was Khajuraho. Firstly its capital was Kalinjir.
  • King Dhang transferred the capital from Kalinjir to Khajuraho.
  • Paramardidev, the last ruler of Chandel Dynasty was surrendered to Kutubuddin Aibak in 1202.

Shisodiya Dynasty

  • The war of Khatoli was fought by Rana Sanga and Ibrahim Lodi in 1518.
